where i'm posting other stuff as of late.




until then.

i got pressured into making a blog before going away to college (or; rather, my friends' going away to college, and me traipsing down the road...) and have found that i rather enjoy it. all those years of newspaper seem to have fostered a hidden affection of writing, in addition to the love of the fonts the words wear. also, it's a great time killer.

i can officially cross number "22. fall in love with something" off of my summer list. and believe it or not, i didn't fall in love with the computer as much as the itouch packaging.

dear lord, i have lost my marbles. or, have been reassured of my career choice.

So, I found out today that 6 spreads from my Connections book (sphinxed.deviantart.com/galler…) are going to be shown at the Elmhurst Art Museum in Elmhurst Illinois as a part of their "Portflio" show.

Oh. My. God.

Last years winners were all art AP kids with fancy paintings and charcoal drawings and whatnot, and my design teacher and I decided that I would submit my loud, quirky, text and patterns. We didn't think I was going to make it in at all, but by some stroke of luck, a desiner must have been on the panel
